Made In Clarkdale Artist Of The Moment

Cottonwood AZ (October 29, 2015) – Made In Clarkdale’s new art in public places program,Artists of the Moment, will be featuring three Made In Clarkdale artists at the Old Town Center for the Arts on November 7th. The featured artists are Edward Krish, Ben Roti and Ramona Stites.

Edward Krish is a self-taught photographer specializing in landscapes, cityscapes, travel photography and photojournalism. He attended college and graduated with a degree in geology. The science of geology honed his fascination with and appreciation for the shapes and forms found everywhere in the natural world. He has participated in numerous juried art shows and served on the local Board of Directors of the International Photography Hall of Fame and Museum located in Oklahoma City. His work hangs in the headquarters of several large corporations. Ed is currently semi-retired and now operates Edward Krish Photography in Clarkdale.

Ben Roti attended the University of Iowa and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Ceramics. Over a four year period Ben had the opportunity to work with Don Reitz in the studio, assist with workshops in Montana and Florida, and was instrumental in the installations of gallery shows in Chicago, Denver, and Kansas City. Since leaving the Reitz Ranch, Ben has returned to creating functional works using low-fire earthenware clay and has begun to develop a new body of work. Ben is a ceramics instructor at Coconino Community College and the Art Gallery Manager for Yavapai College.

Ramona Stites is a contemporary Southwest landscape painter in oils and pastel. Her artwork is known for its sense of serenity and distinctive color. She received an Art Education degree at Northern Arizona University in 1989, receiving an award for her outstanding achievements in art and design. Her work has been sold through galleries in Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. She has had numerous one-woman shows and has been in multiple group exhibits. Ramona also owned and operated Javadog Gallery in Cottonwood from 2002 until 2009. Her art can currently be found at Gallery 527 in Jerome, Arizona.

Saturday, November 7th, Bresnan Unplugged brings acoustic originals, jazz, folk rock, and nostalgic standards to the Old Town Center for the Arts. Doors will open at 6pm. Wine tasting with Arizona Stronghold Vineyards begins 6:15pm to 7pm. The featured artists will be there to visit with show goers before the concert and celebrate the evening.

Tickets for Bresnan Unplugged, Art Opening and Wine Tasting are $18 in advance, $20 at the door, and $25 for priority seating.
