Price: $265 (glaze, 12.5 lbs clay, firing, instruction, and drop-in open studio time included). Tools ($20 + tax for a toolkit) and additional clay ($35 for a 25 lb bag) are available for purchase at Ben Roti Ceramics.

Description: Join experienced ceramicist Ben Roti and learn how to make beautiful pots without a pottery wheel! In this class, students will explore the basics of hand-building and surface decoration. Participants will learn how to use coiling, pinching, and slab-building techniques to create one-of-a-kind ceramic ware. This class is designed for hand-building beginners. With the help of Reena, students will expand their creativity. Students may work on independent projects or be guided by weekly demonstrations. Age 18+.

Students will be encouraged to explore projects to push their newly learned skills with the support of an encouraging teacher. There will be an optional open studio block available for students who want some independent working time to hone their skills.

Repeat Student Policy: Students are encouraged to limit repeat enrollment in Intro classes to two (2) four-week sessions. This will allow new prospective students a spot to enroll in Introduction classes while simultaneously encouraging seasoned students the opportunity to expand their development by taking themed classes.
